Subtle lines and marks left by striations and tools during the making of the light body, though often almost indiscernible to the naked eye, broadcast distant lines and shadows across nearby walls, giving a sense of ethereal distance. The glass shade itself is shaped like a traditional, round, glass fishing float. The brass fixture and white cord contribute to the marine theme. The visual effect of the light effect is most dramatic in small spaces and with incandescent lights bulbs but, it can also be used quite beautifully in pairs or larger sets and LED bulbs with a single or fewer light sources.
